NORDI is a Portuguese-born, UK-based architect of sound whose work serves as a visceral manuscript of survival and psychological reclamation. Raised in the coastal surroundings of Mafra and Ericeira, his creative DNA was forged in the raw, rhythmic energy of the Portuguese metal scene—initially behind the drums—and deeply immersed in the foundational elements of hip-hop. From a young age, Nordi was embedded in urban culture, a journey that began with graffiti and tags in his middle school and expanded into breakdancing and beatboxing. These early street-level expressions provided the rhythmic and visual groundwork for what would become a sophisticated, autodidact mastery of production, audio mixing, and mastering.
His entry into the underground scene arrived with the "Cryonic" mixtape, a cold and atmospheric introduction to his world-building capabilities. This was followed in 2020 by the "Cuttin’ my Blessing" EP, a project that solidified his departure from traditional structures toward a more experimental, self-contained creative process. As an autodidact artist, Nordi handles every facet of his output, using art as the primary site to navigate life's dilemmas and traumas.
His current era, "Atlas," released under the Monkery Collective, represents a conceptual peak in his "hustle" between the industrial landscapes of Northampton and London. Drawing a stylistic line through the atmospheric weight of Joji, the raw aggression of SosMula, and the intricate lyricism of Isaiah Rashad and Mick Jenkins, Nordi’s sound occupies a unique space where Cloud Rap meets Industrial Electronic. His palette remains expansive, influenced by the mechanical precision of Daft Punk and Linkin Park, the melodic soul of The Weeknd and Bryson Tiller, and the defiant energy of Limp Bizkit and System of a Down.
Now operating as the central ideologist of the Monkery Collective, Nordi views his music as a daily medicine for mental sanity. By dismantling the professional veneers forced upon the individual, he seeks to reclaim the "kid that got lost"—the same kid once caught tagging school walls—now navigating the modern grind. His work remains an uncompromising search for answers, questioning perceptions and opening doors to a version of the self that refused to be moulded.

“Cuttin’ my Blessing” is all written, produced and performed by Nordi in a well-executed attempt to petrify his reaction to his first mixtape release. Three years invested in producing it created this illusion that time would make it better, however, the industry does not care about how long you invest in a project, it will eat you alive. This was just the medicine that Nordi needed. This EP tells the story of a planned trip that goes wrong and how Nordi faces such obstacles. Good motives behind his actions, even behind the naughtier ones. Nordi keeps sharing his point of view about our bad habits and ignorant minds and his pursuit towards a unique sound keeps unfolding. "This is my first mixtape, this is part of me. I am really happy with the results and believe in my music career more than ever before. This is for all of you to know me and to meet my thoughts and Loud voices that live inside my mind. I want to thank all the people that supported me. Cryonic is the place I created to guard a challenging part of my life. When I became independent and had to lost myself to then find my true self. I had a lot of mixed feelings that had to explore and share with you. The journey took roughly three years until I reached an acceptable final result. Let me tell you this, the goal was to find the kid I was. The kid that got lost on the elaborated mazes created by civilizations, corporations and governments. I always pictured my dreams from a young age, all in a visual form. I also believe my existence was challenged by higher forces. Someone/something tried to take control of my soul when I was a kid and had parasomnia, but, I managed to win that fight, do not ask me how it happened, I still would like to know it myself. It is still one of the most important questions in life. Anyway, accept my soul, and I hope you listen to my music Omnie Die, with caution, to avoid an overdose." - Nordi
